From Febco's website, a division of Watts Water Technologies, we read the following:

Your Partner in Water Safety:
- Time-tested reliability and quality???
- Yes, you can rely on their ball valves to crack due to lack of quality.
- Designed for ease of maintenance???
- I think they have their febco ball valves confused with our freeze tolerant ball valves with a lifetime warranty not to crack.
- Complete solutions for irrigation flow control???
- Complete solutions for CASH FLOW perhaps!
- Lower cost of ownership???
- Replacing febco ball valves every time they freeze & crack, when they should last 20-30 years is not LOWER COST. It's excessive CORPORATE-CORRUPTION & GREED. Febco & Watts employ the best engineers money can buy, and there is no doubt that they had a solution to this frequent problem 30 years ago but chose to put their profits ahead of the customers best interest. And pass it off as consumer neglect to properly maintain the device. It's that simple!
Ok, enough about Febco. They certainly are not the only culprits. Many other billionaire valve companies have done no better. Apollo valves, Nibco valves, all have in house- highly paid mechanical engineers IN SPADES!
THEY ALL BRAG ABOUT HOW SUPERIOR their products are and how much they care about their customers.

Our pragmatic culture ‘the Aalberts way’ (owner of Apollo Valves) can be summed up in three simple words: winning with people. We are entrepreneurs - we make dreams happen. We take ownership - we deliver on our promises We go for excellence - we push boundaries and challenge the status quo We share and learn - we are not afraid of failure and get better every day.
We always act with integrity - leading by example, speaking out when necessary, and being professional in everything we do.

I'm about to puke... Seriously??? not afraid of failure? Getting Better every day? For 40 years ball valves have been failing when your "TEAM of Engineers" are asleep at the wheel and or their suggestions are ignored by upper management. Millions of febco ball valves, Apollo ball valves, Nibco ball valves fail every year needlessly. They ALL are aware of the simple fix. They've seen the freeze tolerant ball valve at trade shows. Some have had direct correspondence . Their sales reps laugh at it, calling it a gimmick. They are without excuse.
Wouldn't it have been better to show this image-- BELOW-- concerning winterizing a febco pvb?
They do show proper way in a separate video, but if you are going to show a picture, shouldn't you post a picture that promotes protecting the device instead of the opposite???
