Currently, more than two dozen valve products either imported from or exported to China are subject to these tariffs, which range from 5−25%. In addition to tariff lines that specifically reference valves, many other products from China that are used in making valves also are subject to Section 301 tariffs.
The future of these tariffs is far from certain. On Dec. 1, President Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping during the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Argentina and agreed to a temporary “cease fire,” which delayed any escalation of the existing tariffs for another three months, but didn’t do away with the tariffs that are already in place. Whether 90 days is enough time for China to commit to the trade and economic reforms sought by the U.S. government as a condition for removing existing Section 301 tariffs remains to be seen, as does how long it may be before changes would be implemented. A variety of potential outcomes is possible; potential paths include long-term continuation of the tariffs on Chinese and U.S. products, an agreement to phase out tariffs over time as Chinese intellectual property practices change, de-escalation in specific industry sectors and more.

Water Trailer repairs....

https://www.freezeproofvalve.com/blog/water-trailer-repairs

https://www.freezeproofvalve.com/blog/water-trailer-repairs#comments

Uncategorized

      [...]

2018 is here already!

https://www.freezeproofvalve.com/blog/2018-is-here-already

https://www.freezeproofvalve.com/blog/2018-is-here-already#comments

Uncategorized

Today I visited 2 of our newest customers. The first being a concrete pumping company in Denver, Southwest Concrete Pumping. They run 50 pumper trucks in the area. Talk about a maintenance operation.... WOW. Those trucks have hundreds of parts that wear-out on a regular basis from pumping all that abrasive concrete. They were very pleased to hear about our valves that will make their job easier. Those trucks have several sizes of ball valves on them from 1/2 inch to 2 inch for the purpose of washing out all the piping that carries the concrete. Some of those valves are located in hard to reach areas that take a couple of hrs to remove and replace. Now it's a 5 min. job.
Second place was United Rentals in Littleton. Bryon, the shop manager in charge of maintenance, was also delighted to discover our freeze tolerant ball valves. They have water trucks and water trailers that they rent out, each with several ball valves on them. Some are at the end of the pipe, easy to change out, while a couple are in tight places that took 2 1/2 hrs to change out one 2 inch valve last week. Plus they have to cut out some high pressure hoses in order to replace a ball valve and then buy new hoses.
He will definitely enjoy turning a 2 1/2 hr repair job into a 5 minute repair job!

March 08th, 2017

https://www.freezeproofvalve.com/blog/water-hammer

https://www.freezeproofvalve.com/blog/water-hammer#comments

Uncategorized

[...]

February 21st, 2017

https://www.freezeproofvalve.com/blog/progreen-expo-feb-2017

https://www.freezeproofvalve.com/blog/progreen-expo-feb-2017#comments

Uncategorized

[...]
